Prain Global Announces Acquisition of Korea’s Top Sports Marketing Agency, Sportizen

Prain Global announced that it has signed an agreement to buy sports agency business of leading sports marketing agency Sportizen on April 12, 2021.


Sportizen is a sports business company dedicated to sports marketing, events and player management. Founded 21 years ago, it has been considered the remarkable leader in the in the sports marketing industry. The company plans and runs a number of sports events including KPGA and KLPGA, and is responsible for marketing of PGA Tour in Korea as well as media communication of THE CJ CUP, the only PGA Tour held in Korea. 


In addition, Sportizen has provided VVIP marketing services to Olympic partner, Omega and Tiffany, and helped snowboarder Sang-Ho Lee to build career to become a silver medalist in Winter Olympic Games. The company also manage career of young athletes including KLPGA players and promising tennis players. More recently, it has expanded into the e-sports realm as a master agency for LCK, the Korean franchise of League of Legends, and provided digital marketing and advertising services for various sports brands including premium golf brand, PXG.


With the integration of the companies, clients of Prain Global can now experience a broader range of IMC marketing solutions that have expanded into sports marketing while clients and players of Sportizen benefit from greater value brought by Prain Global’s marketing support.   


People management, an area where the both companies have been active, will encompass the entire spectrum including actors and actresses, singers, classic music and sports stars. People management is expected to become one of main growth drivers for the company since the power of influencers with communications capabilities continues to increase, according to the progress of online marketing and SNS.
